Freeview ????????

i live in uk bedford area i have a freeview box and it wont pick up a signal what can i do to get a signal?

l know it sounds silly- but- Have you followed All the instructions?, because Mine was The Same- then my mate came- he followed The Instructions- and it Worked.

Hope Yours does too, if not?- take it back to the shop, they will be able to Test it for you.

its probably your main arial and you might need a signal booster also check you can actually get freeview in your area

Repair the box , or get a new one.

have u got it going through your main aerial? if not them 20 quid things wont work

Do you live in a house or flat? It could be you need an ariel on the roof♥

Either get on your roof and turn your aerial towards the nearest TV mast or get a TV guy in to fit you a Digital Aerial

It should work in Bedford.  You need an external aerial, but the one that gave you analogue TV should be OK.  If the box has a reset button, try that.  If not, unplug it from the mains and leave it for 4 hours.

If you have recently moved from another area, the box may need retuning.

If none of these work, you've got a dead box.

If you want signal you need an ariel so it can pick up the satalite in space and walla.

This is quite common in a lot of areas including mine. I have tried everything like booster boxes, adjusting aerial etc, nothing works. It may have something to do with the switchover to digital. I have been told i need to get sky to get any signal.

It may seem obvious but upgrade your aerial is the first step.

i have two freeview boxes in my house both use an indoor aerial we just had to move the indoor aerial around in to different places and positions. if your using an outdoor aerial you may need to change your outdoor aerial to a digital aerial these cost around 20 - 50 pounds

freeview boxes don't work every where, so you should ring up the freeview line and ask them what the problem could be or you could check on the website. however the website said i wouldn't recieve all the channels where i live, but i do.
