I'm going underway for a month and have a veggie drawer filled and I was wondering if I can toss them in the freezer or do I just bite the bullet and ditch em

  1. I wouldn't recommend freezing your veggies raw, it can ruin them or give them a bad texture.  Try cooking with them first and then freezing what you have made, give them to a neighbor or at least cut them into bits and let the birds eat it.  Don't waste food.

  2. Some you can..depends what they are.  Some need to be blanched before freezing as well.

  3. What kind of veggies?  Make some vegetable soup and freeze it.  Or give them away.

  4. it depends on what kinds of veggies, but if you mean zucchini or something like that you need to dice them and freeze them in water...

if you don't they will get freezer burn...

when you want to use them you just heat them up in the ice cubes and the ice obviously melts and steams away.

  5. keep em there... if it tastes funny when you eat em.. ditch it.. otherwise... eh.. whatever!
