  1. Yes, but you should stay home unless it is a must to get out and drive.  If you have to get out, slow down and drive carefully.  It is usually the other drivers that you need to worry about.

  2. Oh yeah, we get freezing rain and ice covered roads... You have to slow way down... You drive slow and if you unsure of your speed you slow down a little more to be on the safe side. Try to leave plenty of stopping distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you and try not to brake hard or lock your brakes as then you lose control of where you are heading.

  3. not a good idea....i live in the mountains and we get lots of ice...black and regular ...its a lot worse than snow

  4. Not if I can avoid it.

  5. There is not a passenger vehicle in existence that has good traction on virgin ice.  It is like trying to drive on a skating rink sprayed with PAM and a coat of fresh oil on top.  Thank goodness freezing rain is rare.  I think twice in the last 20 years I actually stayed off the road for a couple of hours until conditions improved.  Driving in freezing rain is more dangerous than driving in a blizzard or fog.

  6. Yes. Very dangerous even with a car equipped with anti-lock brakes. Keep a long distance between you and the car in front of you and SLOW down too. If you can avoid driving, do so.

  7. Yeah, you just have to slow down and be careful.

Like here in Michigan, this morning we're under a Heavy Snow Warning. There was so much snow on the freeway that we were only going 45mph.

Slow down, try not to multi-task, and pay attention to the cars around you.

  8. Yes I have many times but it is always best to just stay home if at all possible, very very dangerous.

  9. Stay off the road
