I know that supposedly if you freeze your skateboarding wheels, they last longer, and I tried that, and it worked; but I want to know if your supposed to freeze the bearings too?

  1. freezing anything wont make a differance, once it thaws its exactly the same. there have accuctly been quite a few expirments done on this and almost all agree it doesnt affect anything and its just a myth. freezing metal shouldnt do anything either, unless its at very very cold temptaures then yes that will make it brittle and may crack. if u freeze ur bearings there will be absolutly no differance (unless they crack) so save urself some time and stop freezing skateboard parts

think about it why would freezing help. well the cold would make it condense more and become stronger so yah itll last longer, then again once u take it out then itll warm up and be the same as they were before.

  2. I would say no. I don't really skateboard... i have one but can barely run it. but i do know a lot about metals.freezing bearings would make the metal hard and thus brittle, and that may cause them to crack and chip and eventually become ruined. so i would just keep them well greased and they should last for a fair bit of time.
