When you take the cob out to cook, do you thaw it, throw it in the microwave or boil it.

Any tips would be great thanks.

  1. Boil it right out of the package

  2. No need to thaw - just throw it in boiling water or steam in the microwave.

  3. Actually I blanch mine, let cool,  then freeze. Then I take them and put in a plastic bag (zip-loc, etc.) Then steam them in the micro or even wrap in foil, baste with butter and cajun seasoning and place on grill. Right now, because of lack of room in freezer, I am going to scrape the cobs and freeze in zip locs and make creamed corn. But at any rate, i find the best steaming process is in the plastic bags and in the micro.

  4. take out of the freezer, unwrap and boil, no need to unthaw.

  5. Boiling it is alot better but you can microwave it but it tends to be dry when you do.

  6. We thaw it then boil it.
