The Bundesliga outfit has sacked manager Marcus Sorg following a disappointing campaign thus far which has left them at the bottom after the first half.

this campaign.
Breisgau-Brasilianer have been poor and their performances have been in complete contrast to that of last season. They ended the previous campaign in ninth place and turned many heads with their impressive showings.
Freiburg Sporting Director Dirk Dufner revealed in a press conference that Marcus Sorg will no longer be the manager of the club this season. He claimed that the manager is not to be blamed for the side’s poor form and praised
the tactician’s work for the side in the previous seasons.
The chief also insisted that the club has released some of the players as they are surplus to requirements and stressed on the importance of personnel who are team players.
“Marcus Sorg is a special person. We have nothing to blame him for; he has done a good http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. We decided several days ago, with the team, that we no longer want to work with certain players. But we also want to set an impetus on
the coaching position,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Director stated that Christian Streich, who was the co-trainer at the club, will take over the managerial position. He added that he will be offered a "long-term contract, not an interim basis.”
New manager Streich is aiming to stay in the Bundesliga for the next season. He admitted that the team will have to work on a few things to improve and the targets can surely be achieved.
“If we turn a couple small screws, have a few things come together differently, we can achieve our goal of avoiding relegation,” he concluded.
SC Freiburg will next play against fellow struggler FC Augsburg at home when the teams return from the winter break in January.
