Question:

Fremantle Fans - Can Peter Bell's Fly-In-Fly-Out Arrangement Work?

He's 32 years of age,273 senior AFL games & about 14 years straight playing football.

He's just agreed to play on this year living, working & training in Geraldton & will fly from there to football matches. Geralldton is some 400 plus km from Perth.

I think it's a big mistake & he'll not finish the season.

I don't know if this will receive an answer as I don't know of any Freo fans out there!

  1. It takes 45 min to fly from Geraldton to Perth and last time I looked they also had gyms he has the discipline to make it work and he will.

To gustache you mustn't have heard of The Green Machine and Rocky's two very good gyms and if he is flying interstate well he will already be at the airport waiting for his teamates wont he.

  2. Actually, I don't see it working but, who knows, just might :)

  3. Oh, let's see.  How did the Cats win the Flag this year, oh yeah - drill after drill of TEAM stuff, playing together and understanding each others foibles.

And Bell is gonna help Freo to emulate the Cats, West Coast, Lions etc of the past few years, how?  That's like trying to learn brain surgery by correspondence!

And no, I've never let not being a Freo fan get in the way of my brilliance :-)

  4. It's gonna make it hard...

  5. Not in this day & age. No, I can't see it will work.

  6. No. I agree it isn't the best way to go about things. I wont be surprised if he fails.

45 mins from Geradton to Perth ? You wish!!

It may only be 45 mins flying time but that's the short part of it. He will need to add the time getting to & from the airports plus getting there one hour early to book in. Then waiting for his luggage & so on. What about when he is travelling interstate?

He can always do his recovery work out at Back Beach & the last time i looked, the gyms in Geraldton weren't too flash! The PCYC probably has the best.
