French Arcitecture in America?

Question

Where is a builing in America based on the French arcitecture

and a description of it

If so a website too please I now that's a lot of Q's but I'm doing a French project so I need as much imformation as I can get!

The difficulty in answering your question is in first identifying an architectural style that is exclusively or predominantly French.

There is considerable disagreement over such things since design is connected to the social, political and economic environment and a particular style can arise in many places.

In this instance I would suggest that Art Deco best fits your question.

The term Art Deco comes from the 1925 Paris Exposition des Arts Decoratifs. The 1925 exposition itself was an outgrowth of the work of La Société des artistes décorateurs, a group of French artists, designers and architects formed at the time of the Paris World's Fair in 1900.

The French architect and designer Robert Mallet-Stevens helped promote Art Deco architecture in both Europe and the United States.

The statue of liberty in new york was created by bertholdi who is french.

But i don't know the thin line between art and architecture for this case.

can we call it architecture?
