Question:

French Exam...Study Techniques?

I have a french exam on Friday, and I have to know the tenses: Imparfait, Imperatif, Condittionel (present and Si clauses) Passe Compose, Present, Future Simple, Pronom Reflechis, and Subjonctifs.

What do you guys think would be the best way to memorize, be mentally ready and etc for this French exam. Most times I freak out before it and I have hard time to think in a different language...any tips?

Thank you!:)

  1. Just practice all of the tenses a bunch of times. Maybe you should make flashcards to help you distinguish between the tenses. Also, make sure you know all of the endings for the regular verbs, but for the irregular, you probably just have to memorize them. Just don't freak out about the test. I know it's probably very important because I've gone through this a bunch of times, but if you freak out, you're going to forget everything. I write things down, so you can try that, like writing down the endings or conjugating different verbs for each tense. It helps me remember. Good luck! Just study, and I'm sure you'll do fine.

  2. Well, look over the tenses a lot and make sure you know what they mean in English.

I would also look through some practice you did earlier on in the year for these verb tenses and try to redo some of the exercises to be more familiar with them.
