French Open, Jelena Jankovic vs. Samantha Stosur; Match Preview
In the presence of powerful Giants of WTA like seeded Number 1 Serena Williams and Justine Henin, it was Jelena Jankovic, the Serbian who came out to be the favourite one in the eye of many pundits of the game of Tennis. In spite of Jankovic's daunting head-to-head lead on record, it is not fair at all to give an edge to the Serbian. In Miami, the duo's previous meeting preferred Stosur. On the other hand, Jankovic showed her strong mental strength and surprising clay court game during the European clay court season.
The fact of the matter is that both the Tennis stars are in an excellent form and playing at their best. So the only prediction for today’s match is that it is definitely going to be a tight one beyond any speculations at all and to select a winner is a real tough decision at the moment.
However, the chances of Jelena Jankovic winning the Grand Slam Title in the form of French Open 2010 are on a slightly higher side. On the other hand, the Australian player also seems heading forward towards her first Grand Slam final of the career.
Jankovic was considered the third favourite to triumph at Roland Garros prior to the Tournament behind Serena Williams and Justin Henin.
