    Directions:

    1. In a bowl, whisk egg and egg whites until foamy.

  2. French Toast

    6 large eggs

    1/2 - 3/4 cup of milk or 1/2 and 1/2

    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Pinch of salt

12 Thick cut/Texas Toast style slices of white bread

With a metal whisk or a fork break up eggs, whisk in milk, cinnamon, vanilla and salt and mix until light and creamy.  Spray a non-stick pan or griddle with Pam or other non-stick spray and then melt a tablespoon of butter in the pan.  Dip bread into egg mixture and turn to coat both sides of bread letting the egg mixture soak in.  Place bread into hot pan and fry until golden brown on one side, flip and fry until other side is also golden brown.  Repeat until all the bread and egg mixture is used keeping cooked French Toast on a covered plate in a 250 degree F. oven.  Serve warm with butter, powdered sugar, jams/preserves and or maple syrup.

  3. 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, pinch of cinnamon pinch of allspice, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. whisk until smooth, dip half a loaf of bread in mixture, frying on both sides in a non stick pan, until both sides are golden brown. serve with canadian maple syrup. enjoy.

  4. I like to take thick slices of bread (my fav is whole grain) and submerge them  quickly in a mixture of one or two eggs (depending on the quantity of slices), a splash of milk, and about a teaspoon or two of vanilla. Put a pat of butter on the pan and set the slices in it. Sprinkle some sugar on top (a pinch or two). Then flip right away so the sugar gets carmelized and the outside gets crispy. (enough butter is essential here or else the sugar will start to smoke) Put sugar on the other side. Cook until you like them. Yummy, crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. Don't forget lots of syrup!
