French Top 14 round seven: Preview
The seventh round of the French Top 14 is set to go over the weekend and it is certain to be another exciting week in French rugby.

Toulouse vs. Bayonne
Toulouse will take on Bayonne at home over the weekend.
Toulouse suffered their third loss of the season to Biarritz last week as they continue to struggle to remain consistent. Even with the best offence in the League they have not found a way to win on a regular basis.
Bayonne defeated a difficult Clermont Auvergne side last week as they continue to roll through the early portion of the 2010 season. However, Bayonne will face their first real test of the season on the road in Toulouse.
Toulouse is currently in fourth with 17 points, while Bayonne is in first with 21 points.
Agen vs. Montpellier
Agen will host Montpellier in their round seven match-up.
Agen struggled in round six, suffering a 31-point loss on the road to Toulon. They have yet to improve their form from the beginning of the season and if they do not turn their game around soon they could be facing relegation.
Montpellier ran their way to a convincing victory over Castres last week, displaying their quality in the offensive end. Montpellier will have another chance to run up the score on a struggling Agen side.
Agen is currently in 13th with seven points, while Montpellier is in third with 17 points.
Castres vs. Brive
Castes will be at home against Brive over the weekend.
Castres recently suffered a loss at the hands of Montpellier and will be interested in turning it around against a tough Brive squad in round seven.
Brive completed a stunning upset of Stade Francais last week, showing their offensive prowess. Brive has shown the ability to remain in the upper echelon of the League and they have a great chance to move into the top five with a win over Castres.
Castres is currently in ninth with 14 points, while Brive is in sixth with 15 points.
La Rochelle vs. Biarritz
La Rochelle will host Biarritz in round seven over the weekend.
La Rochelle continues to struggle through the 2010-11 campaign. Having recently suffered a major loss to Racing, they now have four losses on the year and will need to turn it around against Biarritz.
Biarritz was able to work their way to a stunning upset over Toulouse last week as they continued to press for the top seven. At three-and-three Biarritz has shown a great deal of skill, but still needs to become more consistent if they want to move into
the top half of the table.
La Rochelle is currently in 12th with nine points, while Biarritz is in 11th with 14 points.
Perpignan vs. Stade Francais
Perpignan will play host to Stade Francais over the weekend.
Perpignan squeaked their way to victory over Bourgoin-Jallieu last week. Perpignan has not looked convincing since the first week of the competition and such a close loss to the last place team only raised more questions.
Stade Francais has struggled mightily since their impressive start and need desperately to get back on track. After losing their third straight game to Brive last week they will be eager to pull out a victory in round seven.
Perpignan is currently in 10th with 14 points, while Stade Francais are in eighth with 14 points.
Racing Metro vs. Bourgoin-Jallieu
Racing Metro will host Bourgoin-Jallieu in Colombes in round seven.
Racing ran their way to victory over La Rochelle last weekend and will be hoping to take advantage of another League basement dweller in round seven. Metro has been struggling with consistency; however they will have a great chance to get back on track against
last place Bourgoin.
Bourgoin’s form has been slowly improving over the past three weeks, however they have not been able to claw their way to a win. If they continue to grow they could play their way out of relegation.
Racing is currently in second with 18 points, while Bourgoin is in 14th with six points.
