French coach Marc Lievremont features unchanged squad to face All Black in RWC final-Rugby News
The head coach of France, Marc Lievremont, has listed an unchanged starting line to meet All Blacks in the grand final of Rugby World Cup 2011. This is the same squad which overpowered Wales in the first semi-final played last weekend.
However, the coach has not revealed replacements due to injury problems and is expected to confirm reserve players on Friday, October 21. Making the announcement of his team Lievremont said that he has maintained the previous combination as they are playing
quite well in the moment.
The French side has turned into a pretty good side after displaying a poor show in the pool matches and will be playing the biggest match of their history on coming Sunday at Eden Park. They received a couple of stunning defeats in the first stage of the
global showpiece and were largely criticised for their rusty start. They put an extraordinary effort to convert themselves from good to great.
Less Bleus have been going with different line ups for the last couple of games in the global event. They have given a fly-half role to Morgan Parra for the crucial play-offs and he has been delivering an out standing performance in a relatively new assignment.
Vincent Clerc will be present in the back bunches even after being brutally charged by Wales skipper Sam Warburton in the semi-final battle.  Dimitri Yachvili has been playing wonderfully well in the tournament and has contributed a fare share of points
with his boots.
Talking to media about the upcoming match and his unchanged side Lievremont said that, “It was quite clear for me to name the same 15. A simple decision. There are still some players slightly injured who didn't train yesterday, so I will name replacements
later.”
The big final will be supervised by South African referee Craig Joubert.
French starting line up for Sunday’s final of Rugby World Cup 2011.
France: Maxime Medard; Vincent Clerc, Aurelien Rougerie, Maxime Mermoz, Alexis Palisson; Morgan Parra, Dimitri Yachvili; Jean-Baptiste Poux, William Servat, Nicolas Mas; Pascal Pape, Lionel Nallet; Thierry Dusautoir (capt), Julien Bonnaire,
Imanol Harinordoquy.
