Arsenal forward, Olivier Giroud has admitted that the French connections that the North London club has, helped influence his decision to make a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners went on to complete the capture of Giroud last month, as they looked to add more fire power to their squad.
Despite Arsenal being one of the first teams to move in for the player, they weren’t the only club looking to land the forward. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 were believed to be amongst the other teams also looking to make a move for the striker.
However, in the end Giroud went on to chose Arsenal and he has now revealed that it was the team’s French touch that helped him make his decision.
"I chose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 because they have the French touch," Giroud said in a recent interview.

"There are a lot of French [players here], they have a particular philosophy and command respect."
The striker went on to feature for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in the Euro 2012, following a very successful season with Montpellier. Giroud scored twenty one league goals last season and went on to claim the golden boot along with picking up the league title.
The North London club had to wait till after the Euro (France being eliminated from the competition), before they could sign the player. Surprisingly, Giroud has now confirmed that he had made up his mind long before the competition even took place.
"I had already made my decision at the end of the season before the Euros.”

"Many people accounted for me to Montpellier. This may be a goodbye, who knows what the future holds?"
Having sat out on the bench for much longer than he would have hoped for in the Euro 2012, Giroud went on to express his frustration with being a bench warmer for the team. However, he also went on to admit that it was a little disappointing to exit the tournament as early as they did.
He has now vowed to push for a spot in the national team and is looking to help the Les Bleus, be as successful as they once used to be.
"I lived the Euro from the bench, it was a little frustrating, but it makes me want to come back and grab game time.”

"The image of the France [team] may be better, but we have already made progress.”
With him now being a part of the Gunners, he can work his way up the ranks at the club, as he looks to secure a spot in the starting eleven. Not only would this help Arsenal, but it would also help him progress on the international stage, while developing and refining his abilities.
