  1. French cuisine is any food prepared in France by French technique and methodology.  The kinds of food vary from region to region, but the methods of preparation, if you are talking about fine french cooking, do not.  Techniques are codified: there is only one true way, for instance to make a hollondaise sauce or a coq au vin so that it is truly French. You could make a chicken stewed in red wine, but it wouldn't be coq au vin even though it had the same ingredients because the way it was prepared was different. Hope this helps.

  2. Well, somebody's got to get this ball rolling, so.... Since France is known as a wine and cheese country,  I would say their cultural food would be "cheese".  Of course they also have crepes, creme broulee, and quiche(?), French onion soup, mashed potatos, coque vin (chicken cooked with wine), croissants, and French bread.  But I would think cheese tops the list.

  3. The french cuisine is the cultural food from France.

You'll have plenty of time to search the internet, and make it to the library to get a book on French cooking, before your homework is due ..

  4. The french use and enjoy many parts of animals that we would throw away.  (most other cultures do) They eat things like brains, and tripe and bone marrow, frogs legs, snails.  They make savory sauces and create elegant, healthy meals from humble ingredients.
