French france?

my dad said i'm going to france next year.he went there on a buisiness trip and said he loved it and that we would too.now i want to learn french fast.any easy ways or websites? ty!! demi

Congratulations!

Try pod casts.  Go to itunes and type French.  Coffee Break French is good.

Go to a foreign language section in a book store and get the living language series.   Also get the schaums grammar outline.

Try books in your library or in the foreign language section of a book store.

Google search &quot;Alliance Francaise&quot;.  They have chapters all over the world.  If you go on the main site you can search where the nearest one is to you by their locater.  They offer classes and social activities in French.  You can&#039;t learn it just from a computer.  You need to interact with people.  So if there is a chapter near you I&#039;d definately sign up.  

Get some French music and listen to that.

Watch some movies in French on your dvd.  Just change your settings to French.

Don&#039;t look to be automaticly rattling off speaches and understanding books.  It will all come in time.  Start small.  Practice regularly and it will come.  You can&#039;t down load French into your brain like a computer can.  It will take months and months of practice.  So by all means - make it fun.  Learning a language doesn&#039;t have to be a chore.  Especialy if you learn about activiities that you like.  Spend a half hour a day learning.  If you keep at it before long you&#039;ll be more fluent than you ever thought possible.
