French fries or salad?

Which do you choose when you are at a restaurant where your meal comes with the choice of one?

It depends what mood I am in usually or when I ate which one last. I love fries and salad.

Burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, fried chicken or fried fish-I usually order fries. Sometimes I get cole slaw too.

Meatloaf, broiled fish, steak, pork chops, roast, pasta-I usually order a salad.

Fries because I can make salad really easily at home. Fries are a mess of fat both making and cleaning up.

Lamb chop and steak have a bit of both, but if its hot i go for salad
