hi. i am trying to go on a senior trip to France next summer. I have over a year to raise about 2,500 dollars, but does anyone have some good fundraising ideas that will be a big hit? They could be individual ones or group fundraiser, anything is appreciated. Thank you!

  1. It's probably a little late to make an athletic program selling ads (for baksetball, is there a big sport in the spring at your school?)  That's what the Spanish teacher did for the kids at our high school, here, so that the kids could earn their way for her trips.  Worked really well for a few years, until the football coach became the Vice Principal, and decided the rest of the school should be benefitting from the programs (entirely her idea in the first place) and co-opted it, making it a football fundraiser.  That, plus some new rules by the board completely put the kaibosh on her trips, and caused her enough frustration to retire.  Sucks, cause she was the best thing to happen to the Foreign Language department.

You could do car washes, sell stuff, like candy, stationery, etc., set up a booth and do baked goods full time until the end of the year (that one would be dependent on permission from the school, of course).  There are any number of things you can sell through catalogues.  Talk to the teacher.  Is it possible for you to sign up a few more kids and get a discount?  You could try.

If I think of anything else, I'll come back.
