French parking ticket?

I recieved a parking ticket in the summer in a french town, now we have returned to England and dont know what to do? Pay it? How? do they chase? Will they find us?

its unlikely they will be able to track you down, we cant trace them so I guess it works this way unless its a hire car and the company will give over your details to them. If its not, forget about it!
