  1. If you mean foreigners:

-They were 3 510 000 in 2004 (foreigners born in france or in a foreign country), 5,82% of the french population

-immigrants (foreigners become french or foreigner born in a foreign country):4 930 000,   8,17% of the french population

If you mean non-white/european people, the statistics about colour, origin or religion are forbidden in France but there are 5/6 millions muslims in France (8/9%)

Some blacks are also catholics so we can't know exactly the percentage of non-white people.

Among the immigrants, 40% are now french, the other 60% were from UE ((44,9%)(portugal13,3%, italy7,3%, spain8,8%...)), Africa ((39,3%)(algeria13,3%, morocco12,1%...)), Asia((12,8%)) and America ((3%))

  2. These figures are from 1999. Sorry.

At that time the population of France was 58.5 million, including 3.3 million foreign nationals.

The 7 largest foreign populations were:

    Portugal (554 000)

    Morroco (504 000)

    Algeria (477 000)

    Italy  (202 000)

    Turkey (208 000)

    Spain (162 000)

    Tunisia (154 000)

  3. I know that as of January 2007, France's population is 61,538,322, including only its metropolitan territory. If overseas departments and territories are included, France's population is 64,102,140. I don't know what percentage is but I am looking for that information.

    More info:

As of 2006, the French national institute of statistics INSEE estimated that 4.9 million foreign-born immigrants live in France (8% of the country's population) [4]: The number of French citizens with foreign origins is generally thought to be around 6.7 million [5] according to the 1999 Census conducted by INSEE, which ultimately represents one tenth of the country's population. (Ranked by the largest national groups, above 60,000 persons)
