  1. French smench, how about an American name. French, I hope she gets beat up repeatedly!

  2. I like Celeste, and Juliette, although I prefer just Julie.

Rosalie and Lucy are really nice too, but i don't think of those as French.

A lot of the other ones are too common right now. Like Madeleine, Emilie, Eve, and Gabrielle.

And I hate Giselle, because I always though it sounded like 19th century prostitute. (Lots of movies have hookers named Giselle, I think.)

I really like French names. Behindthename.com has a huge list of them.

My personally favorites are Melisande for a girl, and Maximilien or Etienne for a boy.

  3. My favorites:

Genevieve (what I want to name my future daughter)

    Collette

    Rosalie

    Charlotte

    Juliette

    Vivienne

  4. I'm named Bernette...its also french.

    I think is cute

  5. i really like Angelina, Genevieve, Juliette, Lucy, Rosalie and Vivienne.

  6. Bernadette, very pretty and it's French [:

  7. They are all absolutely gorgeous. Feminine, delicate, beautiful.

Claire and Gabrielle are the two I care for least.

  8. Tip:  say NO to -a ending names, say YES to -ie and -e ending names

-Vivienne is an absolute favorite of mine!  10/10  Makes me think of someone elegant polite and soft-mannered

-Charlotte reminds me of someone who'd live around Jane Austen's times, sharp and witty

-Juliette seems much more modern (b/c it's so popular right now)

-Colette - really close to Cosette from Les Miserables.  I really like it

-Madeleine - Madeleine in the little blue cap (isn't it) ... from the children's tales, kinda cute

-Genevieve (GIN-eh-veev in US; jahn-vee-EVV in France) - someone with lots of positive energy, very sweet and talkative

Lucy would be Lucie and I'm not sure if Clementine is french... the -tine would be pronounced -teen if it was/is used as one (just so you know)

  9. Angeline/Angelina -- i like Angeline

    Charlotte -ok

Celeste- nt sure i like it

    Claire - like it

    Clementine - like it

    Colette -- kinda in between

Emilie- like it althjough i like emeline better

Eve- for full name --> evangeline

Gabrielle reminds me to much of HSM +___+

    Genevieve how do u pronounce??

Giselle not sure i like it

    Juliette i love it ^^

    Lucille/Lucy - lucille :]

    Madeleine - luv it

    Rosalie -- not sue..

    Vivienne - like itt!

  10. Madeleine makes me think of the children's book.

    Genevieve is beautiful, and rare.

Of the rest of your list, I only like

Vivienne - have loved this name for a very long time

Giselle - heard this name as a child and thought it was so beautiful

Celestine (or Celeste) - very beautiful name.

While others on your list are lovely, they just are not names I prefer.  jmo

    Blessings
