French style bedroom?

Question

I was asked to design a french type bedroom for a teenage girl. I always thought of french style bedrooms as like black, pink, and white. Can anyone give me some advice. I'd like to do this pretty cheap...Such as some cute wall accessories, a coat of paint, and some new bedding/curtains. Thanks :)

French is red and yellow/beige. Usually a print like from the oldies. Very upscale grown design-suprised it's for a teenager. Sometimes a white and a navy blue. Generally distinctive red and yellow/beige.
