French (sugar) waffles from county fairs or festivals?

I am looking for the recipe for the french (sugar) waffles that you get at county fairs or festivals, even state fairs. I have looked all over for the waffle iron to use to dip into the mix and put down in the hot grease to fry them, but have had no luck in finding the recipe or iron. Any ideas on either??

Try a belgian waffle they are better.
