Frequency, the experienced handicapper in for the Breathe Spa At Marriott Lingfield Handicap at Lingfield
The Class 4 Breathe Spa At Marriott Lingfield Handicap is to be held on Friday, 2nd March at Lingfield over seven furlongs. The race that is open for four year and older horses will get participated in by eleven runners who will race for getting entitled to the £4, 205 purse.
A fierce entry on the lineup is Frequency, Starcraft’s five-year-old brown gelding out of mare Soundwave. There is hardly anything impressive about the three outings that he has made during the 2012 season as all of them ended up as miserable failures. However, the fact that he won the Ladbrokes Handicap Division 1 on 29th October 2011 at Wolverhampton over five furlongs and 216 yards, gives him an edge over the rest of the lot.
Frequency dominated the track of eleven by 1 ½ lengths, setting Mey Blossom into the runner up’s position and making Sarah’s Art settle third behind him.
Deliberation, the 5/2 favourite of the race, finished ninth.
On 14th November, Frequency won the 32Red.Com Handicap Division 1 at Wolverhampton over seven furlongs and 32 yards. Ryedane qualified as the runner up because of the length that the winner led by while Bavarian Princess finished third.
The 4/1 favourite of the race, Glenridding concluded the race by ending up fourth.
Claiming two handicaps during the course of nearly a month has made Frequency a far more credible candidate for the race today. Besides, the seven furlongs distance suits him too.
Another entry that has the potential of cleaning its hand on the victory today is Aqua Ardens, Nayef’s four-year-old bay gelding out of mare Arduinna, as he has already credited a victory against his name through his seasonal debut.
Aqua Ardens won the Golf Before Racing At Southwell Maiden Stakes on 7th February at Southwell over six furlongs. He led the field of four by ½ a length and set the 1/8 favourite of the race, Derivatives into the runner up’s slot.
This victory was the career win for Aqua Ardens. Seemingly the new season has done him good and has the connections hopeful about his next venture.
If Frequency’s winning experience will do him good today or Aqua Ardens will make the most out of his second start, will unfold soon.
