Frequent neck pain (whiplash?

For a few years now been getting a lot of random neck pains (im pretty sure it's whiplash.) It hurts a lot for a minute or 2 but then it's fine. I don't move my neck really fast or anything, and it usually just happens when I move my neck a bit. If it stays like this and doesn't get any worse, I can deal with it, but I'm concerned.

Is this chronic neck pain? I have no idea. Sometimes I even get it once everyday for 2-3 days.

  1. I dont think its whiplash, whiplash dosent go away and then return. Whiplash hurts for a few days, then it goes away and once that happens you shouldnt feel any pain. Besides, in order to get whiplash you really need to throw your neck around. It depends on how old you are, if your older than its probably a natural thing, but if your younger than you should get that checked out. It also depends what you do during the day, if you work at a job that involves you constantly looking up or down then that can be your problem. You can be sleeping in a bad position at night.

I dont think its a pulled muscle because you claim you have been having these neck pains for a few years. I had this problem before for a few weeks...

  2. I'm no doctor, I speak from experience.  If you had a bad whiplash, it could bother you for years.

I want you to see a doctor.  You don't want to mess around with this, as there is probably a treatment to help you feel better.  So please-make an appointment, okay?

Hope you find out what's really going on and get treatment that helps you.

  3. TMJ can also cause neck pain.
