Question:

Fresh blood found in McDonald's bag...what should I do next?

I went to McD's after my night class. I ordered a chipotle wrap (for my mom), large fry (me and mom), cheeseburger (spit between four dogs), McChicken (me) and a large tea (me).

I ate my chicken and some of the fries while driving. When I got home, I went to get the bag out of the car and I notice something on the inside of the bag (at the top). It is BLOOD. NOT MY BLOOD!! I have no cuts, no nose bleed. Nothing!

There is no way it is chipotle sauce or ketchup. It was too thin. This is blood. I used to poke my finger for blood sugar tests.

It even had a splattered type pattern.

..... whoever handled the bad and my FOOD had cut their finger, had a nose bleed or something. There are about three small drops of bood and then you can see where it ws smeared a few times b a finger.

Again, I KNOW it is blood and it is not mine. Noone else handled the bag. An employee from McD's bled into/on my bag....and possibly my fries. Do you know how sick that makes me?!?

  1. It's obvious that McDonald's is trying to cover up a murder.  This could have something to do with Scientology.  If I were you I would get a V mask and move to London.  Once there, I would start to dress like Sherlock Holmes.  You could write a fantastic series of murder-mysteries like "Human is the fastest food" or "McMurder".

  2. i am soooo sorry, thats discusting!!

i hope you pursue that, get them to do something!!

oh and im glad you posted this, because McD's may lose buisness now that no one wants blood in their fries. that's absolutely discusting, but at least you've caused them to lose some buisness, right?

    :]

eww im sorry, that's reeallyyyy discusting!!!

  3. It was probably a bad store.  I have been to a lot of McDonald's that give the company a bad name.

And also,  it might have been ketchup, because sometimes when you first open the package, a watery liquid comes out and it kind of looks like blood when it drops on paper.

But-  I am sure it was just an accident.  I am sure they didn't purposely do this.

I am sure the person wasn't even aware that they were bleeding.

  4. Sue them for a couple mil . . .

Then we can all pay when they jack the prices another buck.

  5. You need to take this as far as you go because this store is not following the rules if someone got their blood on your bag. I work at one myself and I know that when you are bleeding you are to go wash the wound clean right then, bandage the wound, then return to work wearing a glove over the injury if its on a hand. I feel really bad that this happened but they need to be disciplined for this behavior.

  6. its prolly too late now but i would have asked to check their hands myself. i wouldnt trust the manager when it comes to something like that.  i would be upset and grossed out as well.

btw ...did the manager agree it was blood?

  7. I think you should talk to the owner complain and not go back to that mcdonalds. I would'nt sue only because mcdonalds can afford the greatest lawyers  but maybe you could threaten to sue if they don't give you a million dollars so the press won't get involved.

  8. Yea, I agree with Say what?

You should sue them for every billion dollar they have and make sure we all have to pay for you being crazy.  If it were blood, it would have been a lot more than that, and gotten on something more.

You don't know that it was blood, it could have been smeared ketchup, dried blood is brown.  If you were distracted by eating and driving, you should have checked the bag right then and there...it's common sense.

  9. Sounds scary.

What if the blood donor was carrying something serious?

From the looks of it, you gave over the evidence....."She rolled it over and took it to the back"

Now you don't have anything to hand over to a pathologist to be tested, or show as evidence in court in any legal action.

Bet that bag is long gone.

    .

  10. You need to talk to the owner, or at least the General Manager of that McDonalds ASAP.  If they give you the run around and don't want to help you, get the address and go to their internet site and report it to their board.  They should reply back to you within 48 hours of you emailing them.

  11. Sorry this happened to you. I would definitely contact the owner. In legal terms, there is probably nothing you can do. Would be too hard to prove where the blood came from. Take whatever kind of compensation the owner offers.

  12. JUST RELAX!!!! You are being paranoid and a drama queen. Are you sure its blood.? There bags are always white and reddish. I can't believe people actually think they can sue for just that tiny tiny tiny little mishap!? WTF!

  13. That is plain sick! I don't have a clue what you should do, but it makes me sick to my stomach.

  14. That is really gross.

Call the health department or something.

  15. That certainly was an upsetting experience. If no concern is shown by the manager, I would  make calls to the higher levels. Perhaps , in hindsight, you could have asked for the entire bag of food to be put in  a plastic bag to be taken to the local Department of Health to be checked. If you had no open sores or any idea that you need to be checked by a doctor first, I would do the following.

    1. Document in writing the incident.  Have witnesses sign it. Give a copy to store manager.

    2. Tell manager that you will be sending a copy of your report to the Health Department.

    3. Avoid eating there.

Hopefully this was an isolated incident, but if you have it recorded at the Health Department  and  others report  similar rule violations, that McD can have their license revoked until they pass inspection..  I would think the employees have all been firmly reminded about health and safety rules.

  16. Sorry,  but how can you be really sure that it is blood? Just because it's not a glob doesn't mean it is not ketchup. I think people tend to assume the worst about fast food places, sometimes rightly so and sometimes not. But looking at the facts, unless you took the sample to a lab you really don't know what the substance is, the manager (innocent until proven guilty) said no one had cuts on their hands, ketchup splatters and smears, you didn't mention that anything else had "blood "on it, besides the bag and POSSIBLY the fries, and if an employees was bleeding bad enough for the blood to splatter I'm sure other items would have blood on them. Check the wrappers. Also, do you really think if someone cut their hand, their first priority would be your food? I do believe it to be ketchup, Buffalo or another reddish sauce or red pop, strawberry sunday topping the possibility's are endless. Yes I understand your concern and i would still talk to the store manager, but until you get more info, let it be I'm sure you will be fine.

  17. You're going to be fine.

  18. Omg that is so scary! Is this a april fools joke

  19. I am so sorry this happened to you....that is horrible. But hun..I honestly would've kept that bag, for testing. or at the very least evidence....contact a lawyer, and a doctor and everything will work out for you.

  20. I'm sorry that happened to you bud. McDonald's is a sick place full of sick things and sick people. You should sue them for every penny they got. It'll be another step closer to completely wiping them and every other fast food place off the map.

Oh and if they don't call you, go back there and give those sons of b...i...t..c..h..e..s  a piece of your mind!

  21. That's nasty. I hope you saved the evidence so you can have it tested for disease an DNA. What if you get sick. I would be pissed if I got hepatitis or something because of it.
