Hi i am a 14 year old boy and me and my mom are moving to another state. I have been a crossdresser for a long time now and my mom knows. I have also always wanted to be a girl. So, i was thinking, do you think that i should or could start the school year in my new school as a girl? i know my teachers would know but at least the students wouldn't, because i really look like a girl with the clothes, stuffing my chest, and makeup. I really want to do this, what do you all think?

  1. I think you would need a diagnosis of GID to be allowed to use the Girls room and such, but many places do allow students to cross dress becuase the dress code that applies to one s*x would by law ( depending on state or municipality)  have to allow the other the same dress code

  2. Hmm...

It is great that you have your mums support.

As for school... well, you may be able to get away with it until you have to use the toilet or go to gym class... then it will be a bit hard to keep a secret.

So... think about that.. .if you can deal with the aftermath of everyone finding out that you are not a "Girl"... then go for it..

    good luck.

  3. It'll be extremely tricky. Can you handle it?

  4. Have you discussed with your mom your long term goals regarding your gender and possibly the transgender process?  I ask because it sounds like she is supportive and you may both want to get some professional guidance from a therapist who specializes in this area.

It's quite understandable that you want to start out the year in your female gender.  You'll need to work out the details with the school.

Having an advocate like a team who works with teens and adults moving through the process may help you negotiate the issues about bathroom use, gym and locker room issues and so on.

There's a lot to consider so you can minimize your stress along the way.  Some people use a nickname or actually change their name legally to either a gender neutral name or all the way to a gender specific name for example.

The site below is one of several centers across the country who work with people on transgender issues.

Best wishes for a successful year.

  5. ud have to check with the school, and wat about changing for gym classes, it might offend parents if they knew there was a cross dresser changing with their daughters. but im not saying its a bad thing, u just have to make sure its ok with everyone. other than that i say go for it
