Freshman in highschool? help please

soo im goin to be a freshman in highschool anyhtign i should know? do you carry a backpack or a tote?

Im a college freshman and i still go for the same plan.

I carried everything i knew i would need in a backpack and left extras in my locker (or now my car)

The teachers should tell you when you have to bring anything else.

First of all make a few good friends, and by friends i mean not those you hangout with or have fun with. Friends that are actually there by your side whenever you need their help. Friends that you pick must also be the ones that are studious and diligent so that you actually get influenced by them to strive for the best instead of becoming , if i may quote a lazy person or a freeloader. Second get  a backpack to carry your stuff, you are gonna be carrying textbooks, supplies( and those weight a lot). Carrying them with a tote is gonna injure your shoulder blades in the long run. Third dress casually, but not too comfortably,  you are girl so don't wear short shorts or whatever those things are called, they just look like underpants if you see them from afar. Wear jeans instead. Fourth get an MP3 or ipod to bring along to school, for obvious reasons. Cellphone definitely a must but try not to turn them on during lessons. Lastly make a good first impression in front of your teachers, because you are gonna be stuck with them for a year, maybe two years. Other than that good luck with your highschool experience and enjoy every moment of it

I'm going to be a senior now in high school, and to be honest, people in high school do not care whether you carry a backpack or tote. Do whats comfortable to you. In my freshmen year, I didn't have to carry that many books because my locker was close to my classes so I carried a totebag, when my locker was further from my classes, I carried a backpack. Don't worry about other people, do what makes you comfortable. After all, the totebag might be cute, but if you stuff the totebag to make all your books fit, then there's really no point.
