I am planning to begin stocking a pond out in front of my house with various fish. Other than stocking it with bream, what species of florida freshwater fish would get along with sharing a 1 acre pond of large mouth bass?

  1. I'd go with catfish and maybe a few grass carp to keep the weeds down.

  2. you have to have grass carp to keep the vegetation down. Get some catfish and a few crappie. if you can find some, get a little perch

  3. The three pond fish that thrive together when put in together, are the bass , bream, and catfish.

  4. flathead minnows for forage, bream or blue gill for forage and fun and eating, large mouth bass for sport, and grass carp to keep the weeds down this combo is the perfect setup for fresh water ponds because they don`t compete for food , and they are what you need for health of pond + sport.
