Freshwater bacteria in a saltwater tank?

I have 4 mollies in a saltwater tank (the guy at the petstore said that they like saltwater). I was wondering if you could put freshwater bacteria in a saltwater tank? Would they die?

yes they bacteria will die. they need that specific enviornment. it will cause any water inside the cell to leave causing the bacteria to strink up n die.

Thats a good question, but I will probably have to say no, they salt levels would probably kill it off. I am curious to know for sure though.  Look for copperhead or soup n**i...bet they would know.
