  1. u need to call a repair man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. is it turned on? the light will come on even if it's turned off, if it's plugged in...

What is it set on? mine is on 4or 5

If all that is ok, then it either needs freon or a compressor

if it's more than 5 years old, go to sears and get a new one.....

  3. put some ice in it

  4. put your face into it

  5. Put some ice in it? What kind of....that's a ridiculous answer right there.

How's this, check the temperature control dial. I can't tell you where it is because some fridges are different. Make sure it's not set to 1. If it is turn it up to like 5 or 6. 9 is the coldest setting and'll turn the inside of your fridge like a freezer lol. As far as the freezer itself goes, I think it's controlled by the same thing but, I am not sure. If this doesn't help, consult mechanic or look on another website.

  6. It's done, shot, kaput.

Time to get a new one

  7. If it is pretty old, I would say its at the end of its life. Usually if the freezer is cold but the fridge isn't its a pretty easy fix but when both aren't cooling, its an indication of very little coolant. I don't know what the laws are in your area but at one time you could get an appliance tech to "top off" the freon. Nowadays with environmental regulations, its harder to do. A couple of things you can check out though. Make sure the setting on the fridge is set to normal. If it is at max cold and its still just warm and the fridge seems to run continuously, it is in all probability what I mentioned above. It would not hurt to call an appliance service company and get a ballpark of cost. Usually a compressor job is about $350 and if they can top it off, you could be looking at less than half of that.

If they can top it off, the tech will just put a piercing valve on the coolant line and add freon to it.

    Good Luck!

  8. How old is it?  It could be low on freon, or the pump could be out.

  9. Possibly the coil burned out. Call a repair man.

  10. "Freon" is not the magic gas, listen to the person who talks about the defrost timer, most of the time that or defrost heater or cold control is issue, most of the time it is one of them componets

  11. If its old you'll need to get a new one, if it was just installed there it something wrong with the wiring.

  12. one compressor cools both sides, is compressors running and still not cold?make sure fans running

  13. You need freon or thermostat could be bad

  14. turn the little dial to a lower number.

  15. Often it's the defrost timer. Today, fridges have a heater coil in them to remove the build up of frost on the cooling coils. What happens is the heater is timed to come on every so often to remove the frost buid-up.

Usually, when the fridge doesn't get cold it's because the defrost timer is broken which allows frost to build up to such a degree that the fan can't blow air through the cooling coils, so no cooling occurs. One simple way you can test this is to turn off your fridge for  a while which will cause the frost to melt. Then, if you turn it back on, it will cool for a while until the frost builds up again. Replacing the timer is really very simple. It's just a little clock motor encased in a plastic box. There are some electric spade lugs on the box with wires attached, ( I think it's two, but it may be three), anyway, you can buy a new timer from an appliance parts store for a few bucks,( they're cheap), and take the old one out, pull off the old wires, and slip the same wires in the same order on the new timer, and presto! the thing is done. Often the timer is located at the bottom of the fridge behind the vented exhaust strip that runs across the bottom of the fridge. It's held on by a couple of screws. If you take the make and model of the machine to the parts store they can tell you where it's located and sell you the part at the same time. The model # is usually on the back of the fridge. I'll bet that's your problem. Just unplug it for a few hours,( ~4 to 6 ), plug it back in and see if it gets cold. Good luck!....by the way, I read some of the smartass answers and am upset. It always surprises me when stupid AND ignorant people try to be clever, instead of either shutting up or helping.

  16. First , the obvious, did you turn the thermostat down on it? (sorry) Have you cleaned out the cooling fan and fins on the back? try this, if this doesnt work then you have done about all you can do yourself, May need repairs.PS, also if it is full of ice, you need to unplug and  de-ice around the exchanger inside.
