  1. Is the fan running in the freezer?  Are the coils clean under the fridge?

  2. Your defrost timer is shot so the freezer coils will not clear of ice and therefore the flow of air does not cool the fridge area.

  3. Could be the "air circulation" fan inside the fridge side, not a DIY kinda repair.

  4. sounds like the door is not sealing.

could be something in the refer , like a two liter soda bottle sticking out just enough to keep the seal around the door from closing tight. is there resistance when you open the door, is one way of telling, also check the seal on the door all the way around sometimes it gets pulled out of place and  not smooth all the way around.  If there is too much snow, you might have to defrost the freezer, remove any ice next to the door.that could be in addition to a bad seal

  5. If it had frost in the freezer on the back wall it was probably the heating element. Unplug your refrigerator.Unplug your refrigerator. Unplug your refrigerator. You can can now reach in the freezer unscrew and pop off the back wall and look at the two heating elements (looks like the red thing that glows in a blow dryer just bigger). One of them should be burnt into look for black on the clear protective cover. Cut the two wires into with wire cutters and unscrew and take out the element. Get the part number and look on the net until you can find a appliance parts place. Replace and rewire to like colored wires put the back back on and plug it back in. The defrost heating elements come on every so often and melt off the ice that flows to a drip pan under your frige so it can freeze and cool. They burn out all of the time. Only do this if you saw ice or frost on the back wall of your freezer

  6. Turn the fridge off for about twelve hours, and leave the doors open.

Sometimes they freeze up inside, and simply need to be defrosted manually.

My fridge at the cottage needs that about once a summer.

    Good luck.
