Fridge stopped working

SOunded like the fan has being having problems for a good 6 months - horrible sound now and again but nudge the fridge and it stopped.
Today fridge stopped wroking and temp flashes at 4 degrees.

You mention removing a back plate (obviously with the power disconnected) - is this inside the fridge itself? (Sorry to sound dim) - is the fan easily visible? Should I be able to simply buy a replacement or do I need to "GALMI" - Get A Little Man In?
