okay when you are playing chess as black and it goes

1. e4 e5, 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Ng5

I know that now black can play Bc5 and let them take the pawn, and there is an extremely complicated position that black plays out. What is this variation called? and how does it go?

  1. I'm not a 100% sure but I think it is the Wilkes-Barre variation.  It caused Fisher to laugh when he first saw it, then he started playing the Lopez exclusively.:)

No link for technical reasons,  look up Wilkes-Barre or Traxler variation.
