Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brad-Friedel-c7953 has hailed new manager Andre Villas-Boas and has been impressed by his professionalism and his approach to training.
The American goalkeeper has publicly praised the Portuguese manager’s ‘professionalism’ and ‘dedication’ since arriving at White Hart Lane.
Villas-Boas has previously served as manager for Porto and led the club to the Portuguese quadruple. His impressive run at Porto helped him reach prominence and he was appointed as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager last season.
After only 8 months however, Villas-Boas was sacked and earlier this month, the Portuguese was signed by Tottenham Hotspur. The manager is confident of his project at White Hart Lane and aims to bring the Premier League title there.
Speaking to the press, Friedel spoke about the manager and said:
"Every manager's different.  This is my 21st season – I've worked with a lot of managers."

"His professionalism and dedication and energy that he's brought to training has been good. All the players are in really good spirits and we're really looking forward to the season."

Brad Friedel is 41 years old; which makes him seven years older compared to the manager. However, the goalkeeper is not concerned by the age difference and insists that all that matters to him is the manager’s experience and what he brings to the club.

"A lot of people have asked me this question," he said. "Yes, I am older than him, but he's got far more years experience as a manager. I have zero. So he's much older than me when it comes to managerial experience."
The American admitted that he is nearing the end of his career. Having signed a two-year deal with Spurs last summer, he is still unsure about his future plans and will consider it when the next season arrives at an end.
“At 41 years of age, we'll see," he added.
The goalkeeper said that he’s taking things one day at a time and is not worried about the future at the moment. He added that he is fully focused on the coming season and hopes to help Tottenham contest for the Premier League title.
Tottenham will begin their Premier League campaign with a tough game against Newcastle United away at the Sports Direct Arena on the 18th of August 2012.
