Friend Issue? Why does she hate me so much?

Question

I had a falling out with this friend of mine because of the very hurtful things she had done to me. I tried to explain these hurtful things to her in an honest and kind way given the situation and she got very nasty towards me. Now she is spreading nasty things about me to mutual acquaintances and telling them not be in contact with me, yet she has the nerve to call my best friend of 10 years for professional services. I tried to work it out with her and she said to others I an not going to respond because I don't want a response back. What the ###? Why does she hate me so much...

She cannot tolerate any criticism.  Even though you were trying to be nice about it, all she hears is that she was wrong.  Don't apologize for being upfront about how you felt.  If she wasn't able to listen to what you had to say and realize you were only trying to make your friendship better then she isn't worth your time.  Really.  Life is too short to waste on someone that petty, immature and vindictive.  

Be glad that you saw her true colors.  Your friendship with her had to be on her terms only even if that meant disrespecting you and hurting you.  When you think about it, she's not someone you need to have in your life.

It's possible that she doesn't hate you at all. Sometimes people act out with anger when they are really hurting inside. Maybe she misread your explanation as insults, even though you didn't mean them that way. The only thing I can suggest is have a mature conversation with her. This time let her talk, even if she's angry or insults you... let her get all her frustrations out. Sometimes, you find that some of her feeling aren't so far off. So let her talk, then you talk. Only then can you two begin to rebuild your friendship.

beautiful people are always attacked by the not so beautiful people, so when you look in the mirror the next time try to understand how jealous your friend is,remember what you have and she doesn't.
