Friend code on pokemon diamond and pearl?

i dont how to my friend code pls explain it with extra detail because im so confused.

first you need to get a pal pad if you dont have one go downstairs in a pokemon center and talk to the lady on the right when you get use the pal pad and click on the third choice if should be your name in the game and code after it.  It will say what your code is it has 12 digits

well first you need to go on wifi an update your setings it mite take long then you have your code in your pal pad

but remember in the title you see nintendo wfc setting and co-nnect first

Step One: Go into any Pokemon Center, and head downstairs.

Step Two: Talk to the lady on the the right, and get your Pal Pad.

Step Three: Go to your Key Items screen and look for the item 'Pal Pad'.

Step Four: Use/Open it, and there should be some options in blocks. Select the one you want - it should have your name on it - with 'A'.

Step Five: You should see your Friend Code as a series of numbers.
