  1. My suggestion is trying to get as much as information as you could before making any decision, here is a good resourece.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  2. I am a insurance adjuster so I am pretty good with these types of questions. As long as you gave your friend permisson to drive and he has a valid drivers license then it will be covered. If someone ran into yall then there is no reason to even contact your insurance company, as long as you have there info then you should be able to deal with just their insurance company and have you car repaired. On the other hand if your friend didnt have a license or something like that then you might be in some trouble. Hope it works out for you!

  3. In Most of the USA and most of the time, if you give someone permission to drive your insured car and they have a valid license, they are covered.  Cars are insured, not drivers.  In any case it is always, always, always wise to notify your insurance company of any accident, no matter who may be a "fault". You bought insurance for protection, let them protect you.

  4. not if only your name is on the policy.

If it was the other person's fault (not your friend, but the person in the other car) you may be able to come to an arrangement with the insurer
