My friend was told by the Registry that when he gets his license back he needs to install a breathalyzer in his car. What if he doesn't have his own car but will be driving several different company vehicles for work? If he wanted to drive his friends car for the rest of his life they wouldn't know? Of if he ever got pulled over in a work truck for lets say, speeding, would that show up when they run his license that he is supposed to have one installed? Or is it only if you register & insure your own car that they keep track?

  1. By law, he cannot drive ANY vehicle that does not have an interlock installed, that includes vehicles, owned by companies, or friends.  And yes, it is recorded, and any search done in any traffic stop will bring it up.  Driving any vehicle, anywhere, without an interlock, while the restriction is on the licence can result in a new suspension.  The restriction is not on the vehicle, it is on his licence.

  2. I have read about this before and in his situation the company will need to be informed of this and his driving privileges will be revoked and if he needs to drive to make a living, then the company is not responsible for this and he will most likely loose his job....................

  3. sorry to say but your friend needs to learn how to walk, don't need a drunk behind the wheel of an auto.driving is a privilege not a must.if he got that may dui's to have a Breathalyzer in his car he needs to rethink his life.

  4. If your friend lost his license for drinking and driving, he's not going to have a job that requires driving a company vehicle.

  5. He had better just forgety about driving.

He's too immature and certainly untrustworthy.
