Friend is Sick, Will i get sick?

My friend told me he got sick on tuesday. We are going to a bbq at a friends house tonight. Its been 3-4 days since he got sick, is he still contagious? I usually wash my hands all the time, but im afraid if we go inside and we all talk and laugh i will get infected.

It depends.  Was your friend coughing a lot, did he have a fever still, was he sneezing, and washing his hands?  All this plays a big part in whether you could of caught something or not.

Don't stand to close to him. Make sure he doesnt sneeze/cough on you, and dont use anything he's used. you should be fine otherwise

You may. Just keep washing your hands and eating well. You will probaly be fine. I wouldn't worry about it though. If he just has the flu or whatever you will be fine.

cover your mouth but don't make it too obvious and don't sit that close to him.

Since you didn't say what he is sick with it is hard to say. If he is running a temp yes you can get sick. Does he have a cold? Does he have the stomach flu? Does he have another kind of contagious illness? It depends on what he has. If it is just a cold not to worry.
