Hii everyone. I am currently having a problem that involves dancing. I got offered a student teaching job at my dance acedemy today and when I told my 2 friends they were extremely excited for me. Then one of them told me they were going to contact the owner and see if there are any other jobs availible. I want my friend to be a student teacher as well but how can I explain to her you need to be asked? I dont think it would be right for her to call the academy and ask if there are any spots open because that is putting the owner on the spot which isnt right.

Please help me..*

  1. If you don't think this is right, then you should do something about it.  Tell her gently that you need to be offered the position.  Why don't you tell your boss about the situation and give your friend a fair chance, like a job interview or dance audition?

  2. i am not an expert in these things but  if you think it is a problem then i think you should be straight forward and say her so or let her ask and not meddle in things.

  3. Tell her she may not know and if she is your true friend you would have told her when she said she would call why didint you hmmmmm

  4. You could always make it sort of a compliment like "You need to be asked but that won't be hard for you because you are great!" Something like that, you know what I mean. Be gentle when saying it though. Good Luck!

  5. You should be honest with your friend and if you don't want to go for it straight fwd., if not just say "It's hard to get in and if they ask the academy that they won't get the job.

  6. This does'nt involve you.If she is going to ask let her ask, when she needs your advice she'll ask for it.This is how people learn things on their own

  7. Most owners/managers of businesses and other institutions are used to getting calls regarding jobs, so its not an odd situation for them. I don't think you need to worry about the phone call putting the owner on the spot.
