I was living with a friend for a while, then when i moved out i left my 2000$ computer there and told him i would get it when i could, a week later he told me i had to give him money for it, i wasnt able to give him money at the time and thought that was wrong of him so i requested it back, he said no and sold it, this laptop not only had valuable information on it, it also had my graphic design portfolio on it. I have a receipt for the computer and also have a myspace message from him saying he wants money for me to get my computer back. Since he sold it there is no way I can get it back, but am i entitled to money from him? what should I do????

  1. Well, now that he sold it, you can sue for the price of the laptop, and the price of loss of the information.

Talk to your lawyer about it, and he'll explain it more in debt to you

  2. Call the cops, but use a non-emergency number. They should be able to do something, or at least get you a court date. Or you could just go and beat the poo out of him.
