please help im the possesion of very damaging paperwok that states a good friend of mine who served with me in Afganistan and has seen combat has recently tested positive for THC, they want me to get him to sign a sworn statement and a commanders recomendation for discharge, the problem is the ng show 41ng yet everything i read states that all military personnel have a cutt off point of 50ng this makes me feel they are after him, i have to be fair and inpartial but i know he has a wife and has 3 children under 8 years of age, personally i feel if he got a lawyer some1 who can do the research will find out that the positive results are under the 50ng guidelines,

unfortunately i can't disclose this information to him at all as it is very confidential and i have processed paper work against others for failing for THC i just have never seen any1 under 50 ng as this guy is at 41 get a positve result, the guy does like to argue but he is always in the right and this i think makes superiors angry of course this is my perception what do you do, i know they want him out and this is their opportunity but i just feel bad about the entire thing being under 50ng also if any1 were to find out that i gave him an advantage over the UCMJ action i could be held liable what do I do .. please give me solid advic here thanks FT Hood Hoah!

  1. I suggest that you take the results and a copy of the regulation to your chain of command.

They will make a decision on where to go from there.

  2. Your friend is well above the ng level. His command has already received the results. That is all they need to impose ART 15 procedures. He does not have to admit to smoking pot the test has proven that he has. He should have thought of his family before smoking weed. He made the choice, he should accept what is coming his way.  My additional duty is that of a UPL.

  3. why would you smoke weed in the military anyway he’s lucky he’s getting discharged and not going to Leavenworth the commanders wouldnt push it unless they had a case.If hes getting kicked out his record is not that great
