Friend was being romantic in bed... how to flirt back?

I have a best guy friend of 2 years, he knows I like him. We're 18. We havent done the dating thing, and he's leaving for uni in 3 weeks.

But in the past week, we've spent two nights together at a friends house.... both times, he's waited until our friend switched off the lights, then reached over for my hand and held it, stroking my hand with his finger, squeezing my fingers, kissing my hand, nuzzling his face close to mine, arm resting on my side or back.... one time he was tipsy, the other time he was a little high (no comments on this please...) but nothing beyond uncontrollable actions, he was tipsy at most.

Without scaring him or being too forward, what should I do back if this happens again?

I want to see how far this will progress, I already hold his hand and play with his hair gently, but thats all I've done in return, I'm not sure what would be going too far.

  1. O.k- You have asked this question at least 4 times now so it must be realy bothering you. If it is perplexing you so much just ask him what's going on. It's the only way you'll ever find out. If you drop hints or just carry on you will get nowhere so just ask what's going on. If it all goes badly wrong he's leaving in 3 weeks and by the time he comes home again it will be water under the bridge. You said yoursef you got over a previous awkward situation. If you can't ask him face to face then text him or email or something. Just say you're worried about it getting awkward again and ask why he has been up to what he's been doing.
