Me an a few of my friends want to go to London for a holiday after we finish school next year (from Australia). We'll all be 17. Would this be a bad idea? Are we to young to stay in hostels? Also, what's the drinking age, would we be able to get into clubs.. :) (yes, that's very important.. hahah)

Thanks.

  1. I would say wait another year. Then you'll be 18 able to drink and go in the majority of clubs, but if you look old enough then you may be able to get in at your current age, but you may become dissapointed if you cant get in especialy if one of you can and the other cannot. There is so much to do at London no matter what age you are. And you should be fine in a hostel at 17 where I used to live a group of 16 year olds stayed in a hostel and were perfectly happy. If you can't wait then come now but I would wait a year if i was you!

    Hope this Helps

  2. Go to London! It depends how old you all look - I've just turned 17 and I get into most clubs in London. The drinking age is 18 (there is a new policy which says that if you look under 21 you'll be asked for ID, but I can tell you now it's hardly EVER the case)

And there are some pretty amazing clubs and bars. Best nightlife in the world in my opinion, and london girls now how to party ;)

  3. the drinking and age and age to get into clubs is 18 in the UK ... though some clubs will only let in over 21's

and I.D checks are  very strict so it's unlikely that if your under 18 you will get away with getting into clubs and drinking
