  1. Well, you lied, you got caught.  It's not her fault you were cheating. They'd have figured it out sooner or later.

You have to go to the school in your district, end of story. Otherwise go to a private school.

  2. Your parents will have to discuss this with the principal and/or the superintendent.  There are exceptions to the rule, but its just something you'll have to work out with the school.

  3. use a family memeber that lives near that schools address. And what is your friends mom doing being in your business anyway? She has to right to be getting involved.

  4. I don't know what state you live in, but in NY, you are supposed to go to the public school in the district you live in unless you're going to a private school.

The only way a child can live in a school district and go to another, legally,  is for the parents to pay tuition to the school you want to attend.

Public schools depend upon the state and the taxpayers of their district for most of their monies. They get money from the state, called State Aid, for each child, each day. This helps them with their operating expenses, lunches, utility bills, etc.

For you to live in one district and go to another school in a different district is really illegal. It takes money away from one school and gives to another that shouldn't be theirs. Doing what you're doing also messes up the Census. Children living in a school district must attend that particular school because when the school applies for Federal & State grants or loans, the majority of them are based on the children who attend that school. Living in a district and attending in another also puts the school in a different division as far as athletics are concerned. The athletic division for the school is based on the number of students that have been recorded as attending, if I remember correctly.

So, you see, you living one place and going to school in another really has a domino effect. The only way you would be able to get back into that school is for your parents to pay tuition. Once they do that, the school will have to provide transportation for you to and from school and any sports you choose to play. It's going to cost more for your tuition there than it would be for you to attend a private school in your current district.

Be thankful that you were caught now. If it had been later in the school year, your parents would owe both districts lots of money. There's no point in getting angry at your friend's mom. She did what was right. What you and your parents are doing is stealing...plain and simple.

EDIT: I did NOT criticize your question...I answered it. You asked, " How can I get back in the school?" and all I did was answer truthfully, with the knowledge I have, as we've moved during a school year and now live on the edge of 2 different districts.

  5. That's a pretty sh*tty thing to do!!!  She must have been jealous that her kid couldn't attend that school.

You won't be able to get back in there unless you move.

  6. then that person wouldn't be a real friend now would they???

You have to show proof of residency. If ur parents have current mail from that address u might be able to go to that district

  7. some districts will allow you to continue at the same school with a move IF it is your senior year but usually 1/2 through the year.
