My friend has a couple thousand songs on his computer that he downloaded from limewire. I am too chicken to download limewire because of all the viruses.

Well is it possible I can take my ipod to his house and upload all his music onto my ipod? From there can I put his songs on my computer? Will it have spyware/viruses?

Sorry I am a newbie to the "i"world

  1. just have him burn cds for you with all the songs you want and then put them on your comuputer! thats wat i do i am too chicken too!!

  2. You will be able to sync his songs to your ipod heres the catch as soon as you plug your ipod into your computer at home it will erase all of those songs because it is going to sync it to your library (which you have none of those songs).

The easiest way around this is just to buy him blank cds, you can get a 50 pack fairly cheap and have him burn you the cds. If hes reluctant give him a few dollars.

  3. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net
