Question:

Friends teasing about pale skin. what do I do?

My 2 best friends are always telling me to get a tan because I'm "too pale". And my other friend told me I should be classified as albino. It's annoying, because I can't control the colour of my skin, so it kinda hurts. What should I say?

Thank you.

  1. I'm pale and I absolutely love it. Just think, all the high fashion models out there are pale and not tan.

  2. A "tan" is a synonym for wrinkles.  Also, skin cancer and premature aging of the skin.  Long ago, women wore hats and long sleeves when they went outside, especially the summer.  A "tan" back then was not considered desirable at all with women. I remember several women who had the skin of a 12 year old, but they were in their 70's and 80's.  Being in the sun for a short period a day (15 minutes) is considered healthy because you are getting some vitamin c and d.  But sunscreen  should be worn.  Tanning beds?  Forget them.  Almost as dangerous as tobacco.

    Save your skin.  Stay beautiful.

  3. Tell them you dont want to look orange like a lobster!

If you want to get darker skin without tanning (which is dangerous! Just dont use sunbeds!!) you could try getting a hair colour which complements your skin tone and makes it look warmer. Or you could use a little bit of foundation or face powder to make it look a little more tanned.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Pale skin is nice, ignore them.

tell them atleast you wont end up with skin cancer

  5. I'm unnaturally pale myself, and have been getting comments like that my whole life.  Tanning is not safe, especially for people as light as we are.  Since we are pale we need to take extra care of our skin!

If you do want a little color, a light self-tanner may work for you.  Maybe like one of the lotions that gradually builds color.  They work wonders and since you control the color, you won't get orange or too dark.  I use them in the summer to give my legs a tiny bit of color.

The good thing about being pale... If you take care of your skin and be sure to avoid tanning and sun burns, you'll have much less of a chance of getting wrinkles and sunspots later on in life, while your tanned friends will all have old wrinkly leather for skin.

  6. I think that regardless whether you're pale or tan, you are you and there's no changing it. Just rock it! Be proud of it, and if they're teasing you, don't even pay them any attention because they're being a little silly.

  7. I honestly think pale skin is beautiful.

I have very tan skin and I hate it!

When your pale you dont have to worry about tan lines and whatnot.

Just tell your friends to lay off.

Tell them that they are SUPPOSED to be making you feel better about yourself and making your self estem go UP.

Not making you feel bad about yourself, and making it go down.

    Pale is beautiful.

    Just know that

  8. I know exactly how you feel. I am pretty pale myself but when my friends and family give me a hard time I always tell them that i will have nice skin when I'm old. So next time your friends bug you about it tell them that they will have wrinkly skin when they are old and you will have Nicole Kidman quality skin.

  9. a lot of models are pale and gorgeous .

  10. Ditch the "friend" who calls you an albino.  Who needs someone that nasty in their life?

Smile sweetly at the other two and say you're protecting your skin against skin cancer and age spots. You can always look up an article about it on the mayo clinic website and mention some of the more gruesome facts - like people dying from skin cancer.  Remember to use sunblock and in 40 years you can laugh at your sun spotted old chums at your reunion.

  11. They are not your friends.  Have you told them that it bothers you when they talk about your pale skin.  We can't change our skin color, no matter what we do. Love your color and tell them to take a long walk on a short dock.

  12. Your "friends" are very rude.  There is nothing wrong with pale skin.  I would flaunt it.  You can wear so many more colors, both in clothes and in makeup, when you are light-complected.

And don't feel pressured to tan.  Tans are so common and are very overrated.

  13. I have always been one of those redheads with the pale skin who cannot get out in the sun for more than 30 minutes without turning bright red with burn, then peel back off to white pink skin again.

Just tell them that they need to get with the program that "neon pale pink" is the new best color for everyone to be. They should try it for themselves, then you can tease them that they are much too dark to be healthy!

This has worked for me for several years.

  14. tell them you dont care, or use a tanning lotion

  15. Pale skin is beautiful and like you've said, you can't control the colour of your skin. So the next time your friends tell you you're too pale, just smile and say 'yes, I am'. And be happy that you are.

You could also tell you friends to go suck faeces from a dead goat's ***.

  16. Tell your friends that you are not ashamed of your skin. With all the girls getting skin cancers and looking orange your porcelain skin is beautiful the way it is. Some of the old hollywood classic beauties had your skin color. You can't control what skin color you are, you can just be your best self. All shades of skin are beautiful as long as they are healthy, be happy.

  17. Tell them- "I am paper, and paper dose not look good brown dose it?  If you put a flame on poor paper paper is not as pretty then is it?  Paper likes to be white.  Paper was made to be white.  People like their paper white.  And I like my paper white.  So because I am paper, I am white."

=) Thats what I say! XD Even when you say it sing it a bit, and then they will know you don't care what they think and you love your body.  =)

  18. tell them to suck it

anndd that they wont be making those remarks when they are 40 and wrinkly and you are nice and tight w/ porcelain skin

  19. me too

but im part lithuwainian so im naturally pale

im proud of my pale ness

but im not like paper white
