  1. If your friend doesn't wants you to use his wireless network then you shouldn't do it.

I am sure you are lying and you actually want to snoop into your neighbours wireless network without their permission.

  2. Cisco certification-http://ccietutorials.com/

  3. NO, you can't get it through software.  You might try asking your friend, though.

  4. not legally...

  5. Yes, you can crack a WEP password in just a few minutes.

Look up aircrack.  You need a wireless card that allows simultaneous monitoring and packet injection.

The idea is that you "listen" to enough wireless packets, wich are radio signals freely flying through the air for anyone to recieve, and try to decode the wireless key.  WEP is a weak protocol that allow easy deciphering of the key if you capture enough weak IV packets.  So you "monitor" the packets and "inject"  your own packets that causes the router to broadcast many many many packets, including weak IV packets.  I've done this in about 10 minuites to crack a 128-bit WEP key.

You probably should use Linux and definitely aircrack-ng

There are also ways to crack other wireless encryption protocols.  Kismet is a good tool to see what type of encryption is in use.

Look for the great article at "Tom's Hardware"

You need an Oronico card or similar.  Some netgear cards use aetheros drivers and also work well.  Check your hardware  compatibility before investing too much time in this.

After this experiment I never use wireless anymore.
