I've had some lifelong friendships that I treasure.  Everyone has moved all over the map, but we still keep in touch.  We help each other in any way we can, and can tell each other anything.  

Good friendships are hard to come by, so take good care of the ones you have.  :)

BTW:  Don't ever ruin a good friendship by changing it to an affair.  Those who do lose not only a lover, but what could have been a lifelong friend.

The love of a friend is born when we have some common bond that nothing can really tear it apart.  Example are supporting each other and understanding one another because we know all that is good and not so good with one another.  There are times you just know this person will arrive when trouble comes and when accomplishments are made.  With all of this said;  you still don't have to like the or agree with things that are not in you moral and spiritual beliefs.  When your friend does things that can cause pain , you have the feeling that you hate that.  It is not your  friend that you hate, it is the choices of your friend that appalls you.  So you love your friend in hopes that time will give them a chance to make clearer decisions , in the mean time this is your beloved friend, whom loves you forever and you love that friend forever.
